About Us

The Armenia-China Research Center (ACRC) brings together experts whose professional and academic experience is deeply connected with both Armenia and China. Its co-founders, Vahan Grigoryan and Mary Knyazyan, have been engaged with China for more than sixteen years through education, research, professional work, and long-term residence in the country. The Center’s International Advisory Board reflects the same combination of historical experience and contemporary engagement. Gagik Harutyunyan played an important role in the formative years of Armenia-China interstate relations: in July 1992, as Vice President and Acting Prime Minister of Armenia, he visited Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Peng, where the two sides concluded a series of agreements that helped lay the institutional foundations of bilateral cooperation. Wang Liwei, in turn, brings extensive experience and first-hand knowledge from within China’s institutional and public sphere. Together, ACRC combines long-standing engagement with China, institutional memory of Armenia-China relations, and contemporary expertise to promote research, dialogue, and practical cooperation between the two countries.
